Provide customer service support by responding to customer Inquiries, feedback and problems and conduct facility tours, site visits and planning meetings. Assist customers in navigating complex permitting system. Communicate venue, scheduling and event information to clients, tenants, City staff, event personnel, impacted stakeholders and the general public. Educate clients on community resources and how to navigate complex permitting system. Work with people of varying intellectual abilities. Manage Event Services Intern Program and oversee recruitment, scheduling and adherence to intern credit/University requirements. Assist in assessing employment, volunteer opportunities and workforce training. Connect them to training and services for career development. Liaison between clients and government representatives providing coordination for event permits. Manage permitting for all Expressive Activities and facilitate application review, permit approvals, staffing and permit execution for these events. Coordinate events as assigned in support of Event Coordinators, including meetings, receptions and other small events. Stationed in Unified Command Center as SevenVenues representative during high profile events. Work closely with the Event Services Manager to refine processes and policies with other work areas and departments to streamline work and create efficiencies:

  • Worked with Budget Department to develop an event expense tracking concept. I developed the user-friendly database on Microsoft Access to track and generate reports on all event related City expenses.
  • Parks Department approved proposal to redistribute the permitting responsibilities between our departments.
  • Project lead to complete the Indoor Process Guide, the Event Coordinator job training manual.

Provide reception and administrative support by scheduling and notifying members of meetings, maintain and distribute calendars and serve as administrator for event booking software and event expense tracking database. Received training in Agile project management, FEMA facility emergency preparedness, leadership and design thinking. Member of Canteen Commission, Public Art Planning Committee and NEON Public Art Sub-Committee.

Acquired 501(c)3 status from Fractured Atlas to incentivize donors, subsidize printing costs for new and emerging writers and artists. Coordinated fundraising, creative direction and production for eight publications. Managed internship program, social media outlets and marketing partnerships. Administrator for contracts with clients, designers, editors and artists. Created budgets and performed cost analyses to identify sales opportunities and advise clients. Instruction included principles of design, charcoal drawing, perspective drawing, figure drawing, painting, visual journaling and more. Lesson plans were also designed based on The Artists’ Way by Julie Cameron. Utilized a person-centered therapeutic approach, collaborative activities and facilitate group discussions.
